IDEALPLUSING | What is a high voltage DC power supply and what is it used for?
A high voltage DC power supply is a voltage regulator that can output thousands of volts or tens of thousands of volts or even higher, and is commonly used in voltage regulators that can provide DC power to various high-power devices.

A high voltage DC power supply is input by AC or three-phase current, and then outputs thousands of volts or tens of thousands of volts or even higher voltage. The output power can reach several hundred watts (in kilowatts). Generally speaking, it is relatively stable.

Working principle

A high voltage DC power supply generates a strong negative voltage, and then connects part of it to the cathode and the other part to the anode, and then generates a strong electric field between the cathode and the anode, and discharges after the electric field exceeds the specified intensity. At this time, ionization occurs near the electric field, and then a large number of electrons and ions are generated. After a while, a strong electromagnetic wind can be heard around the electric field, and a slightly purple-blue crown can be seen when the light is insufficient.

In addition, there are many tars, dust, and many other particles around the electric field, which combine with ions or electrons to form an electric charge. This charge moves to the two poles under the influence of the electric field strength. The mass of the electron is very small, but its movement speed is very fast, so it is mainly moved by negatively charged particles.

Equipment parameters

The general output voltage of the high-voltage DC power supply is 0 to 60kV, the output current is 0 to 2.5mA, and the output power is also permanently set to 85-264V. The high-voltage DC power supply has only two poles, which refer to the positive pole and the negative pole respectively. Under normal circumstances, the DC high-voltage power supply equipment should consume 240W of electricity and operate normally at a temperature of 0 to 55 degrees Celsius. The high-voltage DC power supply can be remotely controlled.

The high-voltage DC power supply is a new type of DC power supply, which is mainly used in small substations and can be used for secondary control paths so that they can operate continuously. At the same time, the high-voltage DC power supply has a unidirectional switching device, which is easy to use, ensures safety, and can be humanized.

Scope of application

The DC high-voltage power supply device can be used for gas purification in various industries such as fertilization, urban gas, and building materials. It can also remove various impurities such as dust in the air and then send it to the material recycling station for treatment. Achieving the dual effect of gas purification will also play a vital role in future life. High-voltage DC power supplies also support the development of clinical medicine, and we may also encounter a form of power supply, that is, high-voltage DC power supplies in many rooms with large computer equipment.

As time goes by, the development of switching power supplies has become more and more mature, and high-voltage DC power supplies have become a common phenomenon in people's lives.
