The current variable frequency power supply has high integration, compact overall structure and high heat dissipation capacity, which puts forward higher requirements for heat dissipation, moisture resistance and dust resistance of the installation environment, and a more suitable variable frequency power supply should be provided. An ideal operating environment will provide better results for the operation of the variable frequency power supply. The temperature range of the variable frequency power supply is -10~50℃. When the ambient temperature exceeds -10~50℃, this is the optimal current level for the operation of the variable frequency power supply. Otherwise, the equipment temperature rise is too high, and the variable frequency power supply components (especially IGBT power modules) deteriorate prematurely, which may cause permanent impact on the operation of the variable frequency power supply.
If the environmental control does not meet the operating environment requirements, the variable frequency power supply is most likely to fail. Therefore, from the perspective of long-term efficiency and actual cost of factory manufacturing, this will not only affect the operating efficiency of the variable frequency power supply, but also increase the failure rate of the variable frequency power supply. In order to ensure that the variable frequency power supply avoids unnecessary economic losses and is used safely, the majority of new and existing variable frequency power supply application customers should observe the following precautions:
(1) Operating temperature. High-power variable frequency power supplies are assembled from high-power components, so the temperature requirements are relatively high. Variable frequency power supply products usually require -10 to 50°C, but for safety and reliability, leeway should be considered during operation. When using, it is best to adjust the temperature below 40°C, strictly abide by the installation requirements in the product manual, and do not install components that are easy to heat or heat near the bottom of the variable frequency power supply.
(2) Ambient temperature. If the temperature is too high and the temperature changes significantly, condensation may occur in the variable frequency power supply, the insulation performance will be significantly reduced, and short circuit accidents may occur. Therefore, we should add desiccant and heater to the variable frequency cabinet as needed.
(3) Corrosive gas. If the concentration of corrosive gas in the use environment is high, it will not only corrode the leads of parts and circuit boards, but also accelerate the aging and deterioration of materials and equipment and reduce insulation performance.
(4) Vibration and shock. If the control cabinet is subjected to mechanical vibration and shock of variable frequency, the electrical contact will be damaged. At this time, not only the mechanical strength of the control panel is improved and kept away from the vibration and shock source, but also the vibration-generating components such as electromagnetic switches are fixed inside and outside the variable frequency by using vibration resistance. You should also use rubber pads for electrical cabinets, which must be inspected and repaired after the equipment has been running for a long time.
