Use of variable frequency power supply
Simply speaking, variable frequency power supply works by frequency conversion. A more intuitive way of saying it is to adjust the speed of the motor by changing the frequency. The frequency of China's power system is 50Hz, which is the same as the frequency of the AC motor. The speed of the AC motor depends on the frequency under the premise of fixed magnetic poles. Within an acceptable range, the higher the frequency, the higher the speed, and vice versa. The traditional AC motor runs at a constant speed, which seriously limits its application. In many cases, it is difficult to adapt to the need to change the speed. The variable frequency power supply is not just about changing the speed of the motor, because the reduction in speed will inevitably lead to a change in torque, so modern electronic technology can make the function of the variable frequency power supply more perfect.
Components of the inverter
The main circuit is part of the electrical conversion, providing modulation voltage and frequency to power the asynchronous motor. The main circuit of the inverter is mainly divided into two categories:
1. Voltage type, converting the DC inverter of the voltage source into an AC inverter, and the filter capacitor of the DC circuit.
2. Current type inverter, converting the DC current of the signal source into AC, and the DC loop filter inductor. It consists of three parts, a rectifier that converts the mains power to DC, a "smoothing circuit" that absorbs the voltage pulses generated by the inverter and frequency converter, and a diode frequency converter that often converts the mains power to DC power. Two sets of transistor converters can also be used to create a reversible converter, which can be regenerated due to the reversible direction of the power supply.
It should be noted that the operating temperature of the variable frequency power supply
The variable frequency power supply is a powerful electronic component and is very susceptible to the operating temperature. The product is usually required to be between 0 and 55°C. However, in order to ensure safe and reliable operation, space should be reserved when using it, and it is best to control it below 40°C. In the control box, the variable frequency power supply should generally be installed on the top of the box, and the installation requirements specified in the product manual should be strictly followed. Never install heating elements or simple heating elements near the bottom of the frequency converter.
