What is a pulsed power supply


Pulse power supplies are available as single positive pulse and double positive and negative pulse power supplies, which are digitally controlled using unique modulation technology. Positive pulse turn-on width (T+) and negative pulse turn-on time width (T-) can be adjusted in full cycle respectively.   Ordinary plating process, the capacity of less than 3kW rectifier can choose a single-phase input power supply; while the capacity is greater than 3KW, in order to prevent the imbalance of the grid voltage, three-phase input power supply should be selected. For special plating processes with high ripple factor requirements (hard chrome plating, etc.), the continuity of the waveform is particularly important, you can choose a regulator to regulate the voltage of the silicon rectifier or increase the filter thyristor rectifier.

  Special plating process also has certain requirements on the output waveform, such as a commutation, cycle commutation, unidirectional pulse, bidirectional pulse, DC superimposed pulse, DC superimposed AC and multi-segment mixed waveforms. Different output waveforms of products correspond to different uses. Power supply manufacturers specify different models for different output waveforms and applications, so you can select the type of power supply according to the desired output waveform.

 

  Applications of Pulse Power Supplies

 

  ■Pulse power supply for electroplating gold, silver, nickel, tin, alloy, can significantly improve the functionality of the plating layer; used for protective-decorative plating (such as decorative gold), can make the plating layer uniform color, brightness, corrosion resistance.
