Switch tube damage
The switch tube is the core component of the DC converter. Its damage will cause the entire DC converter to fail to work. The reasons for the damage of the switch tube may be overload, overvoltage, overtemperature, etc., so the following measures need to be taken to prevent it:
(1) Select a suitable switch tube. The appropriate switch tube should be selected according to the needs. Do not use a switch tube with too large current or too high voltage.
(2) Improve the heat dissipation capacity. The switch tube generates heat when working. If the heat dissipation is poor, it will cause the switch tube to overheat and be damaged. Therefore, heat dissipation measures should be strengthened, such as adding heat sinks, fans, etc.
(3) Set up a protection circuit. A protection circuit such as overload protection, overvoltage protection, overtemperature protection, etc. should be set in the DC converter to cut off the working circuit of the switch tube in time to avoid damage.
Abnormal output voltage
Abnormal output voltage is a common fault of the DC converter. It may be caused by excessive capacitor voltage, excessive inductor current, etc. The preventive measures are as follows:
(1) Reasonably design the output filter circuit. The output filter circuit should be designed reasonably, and appropriate capacitors and inductors should be selected to keep them within the operating voltage range to avoid abnormal output voltage due to excessive capacitor voltage or excessive inductor current.
(2) Add protection circuit. Protection circuits should be added to the DC converter, such as reverse voltage protection, output short circuit protection, etc., to cut off the output circuit in time to avoid abnormal output voltage.
Control circuit failure
The control circuit is a key part of the DC converter. Its failure will cause the DC converter to fail to work properly. The preventive measures are as follows:
(1) Reasonable design of the control circuit. The control circuit should be designed reasonably, appropriate components should be selected, and interference or imbalance problems in the control circuit should be avoided.
(2) Add protection circuit. Protection circuits should be added to the control circuit, such as overcurrent protection, overvoltage protection, etc., to avoid abnormal output voltage due to control circuit failure.
Damage to the rectifier diode
The rectifier diode is an important component in the DC converter. Its damage will cause the rectifier circuit to fail to work properly. The preventive measures are as follows:
(1) Reasonable selection of rectifier diodes. The appropriate rectifier diode should be selected according to the load requirements. Do not use rectifier diodes with too large current or too high voltage.
(2) Add protection circuit. Protection circuits should be added to the rectifier circuit, such as reverse voltage protection, overcurrent protection, etc., to prevent the DC converter from not working properly due to damage to the rectifier diode.
