Concept
Programmable DC power supply, also known as "DC test power supply", or "DC power supply", is an electrical power supply instrument commonly used in laboratories. It is a programmable switching DC power supply with automatic voltage and current stabilization functions. It can achieve precise control and adjustment of parameters such as output voltage, current and power through internal circuits and digital control technology, and output stable voltage and current to meet different needs.
Working principle
Programmable DC power supply is generally composed of a microprocessor, a signal processor and a power amplifier. With the coordinated work of these components, the programmable DC power supply can achieve precise control and adjustment of output voltage, current and power. A microprocessor or a dedicated control chip will form a control unit, which is mainly responsible for processing parameters such as voltage value, current value or output mode input by the user, so as to receive the control signal input by the user to calculate the required voltage and current. The digital signal processor mainly converts the control signal generated by the microprocessor into an analog voltage or current output. The power amplifier receives the control signal from the digital signal processor and converts it into an analog signal to control the output voltage and current.

This series of programmable DC power supply is only 3U in height, with high power density and a single unit power of up to 18KW. Display and control
The set value, actual value and status of the high-performance programmable DC power supply PDS 2000E series can be clearly displayed on the screen at the same time, allowing users to have a clear view. The monitoring function of all output parameters helps to reduce test equipment, and there is almost no need to install external monitoring hardware and software. The product supports panel editing, and combined with the buttons and knobs on the control panel, it can bring users a simple and fast use experience.
Cascade function
The high-performance programmable DC power supply PDS 2000E series can be used alone or in parallel with the master and slave machines to maximize the flexibility of product use. The specific current sharing design function is adopted to ensure that each power module has a balanced current sharing and ensure the consistency of product output. When there is a greater power demand, you can choose a power supply of the same specification and connect up to 10 units in parallel. By connecting multiple power supplies in parallel, you can form a main power supply system with a higher power of up to 180KW. The power supply system is fast and flexible to build, and the power supply after parallel connection can still meet the standards and convenient operation of a single power supply.
PDS 2000E DC power supplies all have a true wide range function, also known as "auto-range power supply". Compared with the rectangular output of the standard power supply, the auto-range power supply can correspond to more current with more voltage without exceeding the maximum rated power, that is, it automatically adjusts to high voltage at a lower current, and adjusts the output to a larger current at a lower voltage. Only one power supply can complete the test in more occasions, meet a wider range of test requirements, and greatly reduce the power supply cost and space occupied in the laboratory or automated test system.
Programming function
Supports programming function on the display panel, and can also edit various voltage and current change test programs on the computer through a USB flash drive, and then import them into the device through the interface, without connecting to a computer, to achieve the automatic operation function of the device.
Internal resistance simulation function (optional)
Real hardware internal resistance simulation and adjustment, with internal resistance simulation setting, providing high-precision internal resistance adjustment function, which can easily simulate the changes in internal resistance of starting motors, rechargeable batteries, fuel cells and other devices.
Protection function
You can set the over-voltage protection limit (OVP), over-current protection limit (OCP) and overpower protection limit (OPP). Once one of these three limit values is exceeded due to misoperation, the DC output will be cut off immediately, and an alarm status signal will be issued on the display and interface.
