Application instructions for charging products
1. Charging Voltage
Charging voltage: refers to the voltage value of the battery when it is fully charged. Note that it is the voltage value after full charge. Batteries made of different materials will have different voltage values. For example, for the same 12V battery, the fully charged voltage of a lead-acid battery is 13.8-14V, and the fully charged voltage of a lithium battery is 12.6V. Therefore, the fully charged voltage of batteries of different materials The values are not the same.
Processing method: First step, consult the customer about the fully charged voltage of the battery; second step, recommend appropriate parameters to the customer based on the fully charged voltage required by the customer.
Note: The customer must provide the fully charged voltage value of the battery, otherwise you cannot randomly recommend the charger voltage to the customer. If the customer does not know the battery material available, we will calculate the fully charged voltage value. If the charging voltage is too low, the battery will not be fully charged; if the charging voltage is too high, the battery may explode, resulting in a risk of fire.
2. Charging current
Charging current: When the battery is not fully charged, the charger charges the battery with a constant current value. This value is a fixed constant current value.
Charging process: first constant current charging, after the voltage rises to full voltage, then constant voltage charging, and finally power off and shut down.
If the charging current is too small, the battery charging time will be very long, which cannot meet the needs of customers; if the charging current is too large, the battery will overheat during charging and may easily cause the danger of burning or explosion.
Processing method: The charging current value required by the customer must be determined before a close charger model can be recommended to the customer. If the customer does not know, please provide the battery capacity value, and we will estimate the charging current value parameters for the customer. The simple calculation method is: Charging current = battery capacity x 0.2~0.5
Note: For batteries made of different materials, choose a multiple from 0.2-0.5. We recommend choosing 0.3. Some new batteries can accept fast charging and can achieve a multiple of 1 or more.
3. Battery capacity
Battery capacity: refers to the power of the battery, in AH value, which means that if the battery is discharged at this current value within an hour, the battery will be out of power. For example, a 100AH battery means that if the battery is continuously discharged at 100A within an hour, it will run out of power.
4. Charging time
Charging time: The continuous charging time required for the battery to be charged from the lowest voltage to the full voltage. This value is imprecise and can only be a theoretical or approximate value. The minimum voltage value of each battery is different.
Calculation method: charging time = battery capacity x 1.1~1.5 ÷ charging current
We usually use a value of 1.5
Summary: When choosing the voltage value of the charger, the customer must provide accurate parameters, or the customer can provide the battery material and we can calculate it; the charging current must be provided by the customer, or the customer can provide the battery capacity and we can calculate it; the charging time is based on the battery capacity and charging current. To calculate an approximate time, it is not a very precise parameter.
